Handcrafted from a solid lump of Douglas Fir timber, our lamps have weight to them!
We love the way the light reflects of the wood, showing the rich colours and grain patterns. All our Douglas Fir is sourced from Community Woodlands in the Highlands.
These lamps are handcrafted from off cuts from our timber frame constructions - where large beams need to be trimmed down - and we don’t want to waste anything. We start with the timber rough sawn off the mill, and then plane and sand down to a soft smooth surface. Any cracks are filled with bow ties, and the wood is treated with Osmo oil.
We use solid metal fixings and the lamp comes with a standard 13amp UK plug and a good length of cable. We can select different lampshades depending on your taste - let us know what you like.
